What is Technological Support?

KNOC conducts international technological support business to stabilize nation's oil supply and demand through promoting domestic and overseas oil field development projects utilizing KNOC's technical resources and IT equipments to meet the public technological support requirements.

Procedures for Technological Support

To receive technological support, please submit your request to KNOC's technical department with specifications such as the field, time frame, and opportunity. Any inquiries regarding the application process should be directed to 031-380-2585.

KNOC's technological support fee is calculated according to regulations of Engineering Technology Promotion Law
Labor cost is calculated based on engineers' basic wages

Direct Expense is calculated under the general rule that material and supply are provided or paid for by the requestor. However, provided that the material and supply are provided and prepaid for by KNOC upon agreement, KNOC will calulate the cost of the supply subsequent to use, and will claim expenses under project provision and actual cost.
- Overhead cost is an indirect cost not included in labor cost and direct expenses. Overhead cost = labor cost * 1.15
- Technology fee is the price for use and accumulation of technology.
Technology fee = (Labor cost + Overhead cost) * 0.3
