Doo Sung is Korea's only semi-submersible drilling unit built in 1984 by Daewoo Shipbuilding Co., and has drilled not only in Korea, but has also shown success in 108 (`as of 31 December 2012) boreholes including those in Alaska, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Russia and Indonesia.
In oder to meet the increasingly intensifying safety regulations, Doosung acquired safety certifications from International Safety Management, ISO9001 in 1998 and the International Ship and Port facility Security Code in 2004.
Doosung has made many achievements in its safety regulations as a result of active HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) operations, and was validated for its 5 consecutive years of the Non-Lost Time Incident operation
by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), gaining recognition in the international drilling industry of its safety standards. Doosung also promotes enhancing market competitiveness in the field of working safety and so on after being completed life enhancement project of hull and structures.
