By incorporating preservation efforts and its economics into the government's statics based on purchase-and-store concept and by utilizing the current stockpile with flexibility, KNOC is able to create a more dynamic concept for the economic improvement of Korea's stockpiling industry.

As part of the dynamic stockpiling program, KNOC has participated in the International Joint Stockpiling Project and has exported LPG since year 1999. Since year 2000, KNOC has been practicing Petroleum Reserve Swapping. Profit from applying the existing reserve is being used to increase the reserve amount, therefore the dynamic concept plays an important role in effectively reaching stockpiling objective.
