Code of Conduct

Code of Ethics for Non-Executive Directors

  • As the member of the Board of Directors, deciding important matters to execute business of KNOC, non-executive directors shall always perform business in a fair manner on the basis of the awareness of ethics
  • Non-executive directors shall objectively make decisions in the independent position using expertise accumulated on the basis of knowledge and experience of management for the improvement of corporate values and the public benefits of KNOC
  • Non-executive directors shall faithfully and sincerely fulfill creating a corporate culture for all directors and employees to cooperate for KNOC
  • Non-executive directors shall not pursue the private profits for themselves or a third party to make KNOC secure confidence from the public and shall not receive money or other valuables and improper requests interrupting the fair performance of duties
  • Non-executive directors shall understand the purposes of establishment and values of KNOC and progressively comply with the Code of Ethics for Non-executive Directors to secure confidence from the public

Code of Ethics for a Private Person Performing Public Duties

  • A private person performing public duties shall not make improper requests beyond normal transaction practices or relevant laws related to the businesses of KNOC and shall not perform duties made by improper requests
  • If a private person performing public duties receives improper requests related to the businesses of KNOC, he/she shall acknowledge that such requests are improper to those who make such improper requests and clearly reject such requests. If a private person performing public duties receives the same improper request, he/she shall notify it to KNOC
  • A private person performing public duties shall not offer prohibited money or other valuables, promise to offer, or express the intention to offer prohibited money or other valuables and shall not receive prohibited money or other valuables
  • If a private person performing public duties receives prohibited money or other valuables related to businesses of KNOC, promise of on offer, or intention of offer of prohibited money or other valuables, he/she shall notify KNOC
  • A private person performing public duties shall understand the purposes of establishment and values of KNOC and progressively comply with the Code of Ethics for a Private Person Performing Public Duties to secure confidence from the public

Code of Ethics for a Retiree

  • A retiree shall understand the purposes of establishment and values of KNOC and progressively comply with the Code of Ethics for a Retiree to secure the confidence from the public
  • A retiree shall not disclose any trade secretes related to duties acquired while working in KNOC and shall not pursue private profits for himself/herself or a third party using information acquired before retirement from KNOC
  • A retiree shall not offer or request money or other valuables, shall not make improper requests, or shall not receive any preferential treatment using relationships with directors and employees acquainted while working in KNOC
  • A retiree shall not do any behavior which can be misunderstood, including doing speculative games or gaining unnecessary access to offices with the directors and employees of KNOC
  • If a retired is subject to Article 17 (Restrictions on Employment of Retired Public Officials), Public Service Ethics Act, he/she shall progressively comply with relevant rules and regulations, including organization in which employment is restricted and employment approval by the Public Service Ethics Committee
