Onado is located in Maturin of Venezuela and the field is now operated by the Petronado joint venture (empresa mixta).

PDVSA(CVP) has a 60.000% stake in Petronado, CGC's has 26.004%, Petroecuador 8.356% and KNOC 5.640%.

Production started in 1971 and Petronado currently produces crude oil and natural gas in an amount of approximately 4,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
