Block 115

Peru Block 115 is located on Andes Mountains formed by Andes orogenic movement during the Cenozoic 3rd period with developed foreland basin to the east. Pluspetrol operates the block with 70% of the share.
Through Purchase and Sales Agreement In July 2007, KNOC acquired 30% of the share from Pluspetrol, owned the whole share previously. 2D seismic over an area of 2,000 L-km has already been existed and the joint venture of the companies is planning for the 2D seismic survey.

 
 

Block 8

Block 8 is located in Peru's Maranon Basin and has for many years been one of Peru's most important oil producing assets. The fields were sold from Petroperu to a Pluspetrol-led group in July 1996.

The block consists of four equity holders, three Korean parties(KNOC-20%, Daewoo-11.7%, SK-8.3%) and Pluspetrol(operator), Argentina-based company, which has 60% of share.

Production started in 1974 and oil produced 306million barrels cumulatively up to Jun, 2011.

 

SAVIA PERU

In February 2009, KNOC acquired a 50% interest in Offshore International Group, Inc. whose subsidiary, SAVIA PERU S.A. (¡°SAVIA PERU¡±), has an operation service contract for a producing field in Block Z-2B in the Talara Basin off the northwestern coast of Peru. Ecopetrol S.A., the national oil company of Columbia, acquired the other 50% interest in Offshore International Group, Inc.
