KNOC’s storage facilities are safely and effectively managed under standardized regulations.

KNOC has acquired ISO 9002 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental) certification, and performs all of its work under a quality assurance system that meets international standards, from the devising of construction project plans to the design, construction, and operation of storage bases.

Furthermore, KNOC performs high level processing of discharged water so that it is only 1/5 of the required discharge standard (COD 40pp) for clean areas, and uses the latest safety management techniques and the highest environmental standards, including KOSHA 18001, in its operations of the storage base. As a result of its rigorous environmental management, KNOC has not experienced a single environmental accident over the last 20 years.
