Establishment of Technology & Development Strategy |

| KNOC is exercising maximum efforts to re-enforce the national security in energy resources, and, furthermore, to secure future growth engines for carbon neutrality. For these purposes, we built the KNOC Technology Road Map, where we set target oriented core technologies and their re-enforcement plans, which are fitted into national policy and corporate strategy.
KNOC Technology Road Map includes the development of two key technology groups: Chasing Technologies and Leading Technologies. Chasing Technologies are tied into KNOC core E&P projects and targeting to increase production and reserves, hence improving corporate profits. Leading Technologies would cover future growth engines of KNOC such as low carbon, new energy projects. |

Introducing New Energy Technology |

| We are facing a turning point in the paradigm of resources development which is reflected on energy conversion and digital transformation. As issues such as global warming and climate crisis are emerging, KNOC is now participating on many tasks focusing on low-carbon, decarbonization and zero-carbon processes. In addition, we have new challenges coming from the Green New Deal and Digital New Deal of Korean government along with a variety of emerging new technologies from so called the fourth industrial revolution including the arrival of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
Keeping up with these changes of our time and in global trends, KNOC is developing new business areas such as offshore wind power, Carbon Capture and Storage, and Hydrogen/Ammonia projects, where we can utilize KNOC’s technological capabilities.
